Research on Solar & Heliospheric Physics
The solar and heliospheric group at the University of Graz conducts research on the following topics:
- Physics of coronal mass ejections, flares and associated waves
- Heliospheric evolution of CMEs and their space weather impact
- Numerical modeling of coronal magnetic fields and flows
- Coronal holes and their relation to the solar wind
The research group has a size of ~15 people consisting of senior researchers, Post-Docs, PhD- and Master students.

Research projects are in close collaboration with the space agencies ESA and NASA.
Scientific data are provided by space missions such as SoHO, Proba2, STEREO, SDO, Hinode, ACE, DSCVR, as well as ground-based observatories.
